Religious education classes provided for children who are not attending Catholic schools are held on Sunday 9:30 a.m. for grades 1-8 in the Middle School building. While parents are the first teachers, children gain from religious education and instruction so they can understand and appreciate their Catholic faith. Registration forms are available from the Parish Office. For more information contact Lucianne Lilienthal at 342-8861 ext. 16 or E-mail at email@example.com
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, from September - May, are dismissed from the 11 a.m. Mass on Sundays to hear the Word of God proclaimed from the Lectionary for Children. Catechists lead the children through a reflection on the passages and a recitation of the Creed. This program allows the children to hear the Word of God on their own level, making it more comprehensible for them. They then return to their parents and join them in the Eucharistic celebration. For more information or contact Lucianne Lilienthal at 342-8861 ext.16 or E-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
Based on the RCIA program, Children's Catechumenate with the Family is a family-centered program. If you wish to have your child initiated into the Catholic Church, but have not been actively practicing and wish to resume practicing, this process would be a great place for your family to journey together. The instructional sessions take place over the course of the standard school year. For more information contact Lucianne Lilienthal at 342-8861 ext.16 or E-mail at email@example.com
Vacation Bible School is developed to make learning the Bible fun for our youth through song, prayer and enlightening activity. Adult volunteers lead the children through a variety of activities that include music, Bible stories, crafts and games. The children have a great time learning about God, their faith and Scripture in a fun atmosphere with other children.
The Vacation Bible School is conducted during the 1st full week of August, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. There are groups for children entering K - 4th grade in the fall. The theme is new every year. The cost is just $15 per student for the week. Adult and teen helpers are needed, as well, to make the program a success. For more information call Lucianne Lilienthal at 342-8861 ext. 16 or E-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org For Registration forms click (here).
