Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry: This ministry is currently not active at St. Teresa. We are in need of leaders/coordinators. Contact Father Ed at 342-8861 to volunteer.

Youth Ministry is learning more about our faith beyond Faith Formation classes, by taking those lessons learned in class and reaching out to our community. Youth Ministry is also fellowship and sharing with our peers during fun activities.
There is something for everyone in Youth Ministry, middle school (6th - 8th grades), high school (9th - 12th grades), and young adults (ages 18 - 25). All Youth Ministry activities are open to our youths' friends from both Catholic and public schools and friends of all faiths. A Catholic Christian perspective will be focused at all times.

Youth Ministry is also for those who have time and energy to volunteer to help share God's Word with our young people. For more information click (here). If you are interested in helping out, or have a suggestions to offer, please contact the Youth Ministry Office at 342-8861.

Christian Service

The life and teachings of Jesus call us to reach out and serve those in need. Our Catholic Social Action teachings help us to understand our responsibility of Christian witness and service. St. Teresa's youth ministry is active in education and challenges our people to live out this call within the parish and broader community. Service opportunities are available to all youth 6th - 12th grade, their parents and other young adults.

Mass Ministries

Youth in various liturgical roles, such as lectors, cantors, Eucharistic Ministers, and altar servers are very welcome and desired. As a minimal requirement, it is expected that those who fulfill these roles are baptized Roman Catholic and have received their First Communion. They need not be confirmed. There is no specific age requirement for these various liturgical roles.
For more information please call Father Gearhart at 342-8861.

Message of Fatima and Rosary Making

This is a program designed to introduce the Fatima message and learn how to pray the rosary. On completion of the program, those who attended will receive a certificate from the Blue Army USA President, Bishop James S. Sullivan, in recognition of their efforts to imitate the children of Fatima by teaching others the Message of Our Lady of Fatima and helping them pray the rosary. During this time, the story of Fatima will be shared as we learn to make rosaries and then donate them outside of the United States.

Retreat Information

There are several retreats throughout the year tailored for teens and young adults. St Teresa Parish attempts to share this information as soon as it is available. If you have any questions regarding retreats, please contact the Parish Office at 342-8861.

A Scout is Reverent

All Girl Scouts (Brownies, Juniors, and Cadets) and Boy Scouts (Cubs, Webelos, and Scouts) are encouraged to earn their religious medals and patches for their rank. The Youth Ministry Office can assist Scouts in earning these achievements.

EnviroSMART Ink Cartridge Recycling

Most of our parishioners have printers at home along side their computers and many times we mindlessly throw away empty ink cartridges when we replace them. As a fundraiser, this project not only helps the environment, but also helps raise money for youth ministry programs. Postage free "baggies" are available to mail in the used cartridges.

Holy Childhood Association

Remember as a child at Christmas when you would collect pennies for The Holy Childhood Association (HCA) and when you used HCA's Christmas Seals when you sent your Christmas cards out to your family and friends?
HCA's Advent program helps children prepare for Christmas by teaching them how to make the season more meaningful by offering prayers and collecting offerings for children in the Developing World. For more information visit http://www.onefamilyinmission.org/
