Marriage Retrouvaille for Couples
|
|
|
| If your marriage is hurting in any way - injured, grown cold, distant, unloving, or uncaring - then consider participating in the Marriage Retrouvaille (French for "rediscovery") process. Couples who are experiencing difficulties in communication, or even considering divorce, begin with a weekend retreat to renew and heal. For more information, call the Parish Office at 342-8861. |

Divorce Care

Divorce Care will be held at St. Teresa beginning on Monday, June 5th at 7:30 p.m.
This video series features some of the nation's foremost Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics as seen from a Biblical perspective. During the summer months St. Teresa will offer the video seminar for people who are experiencing separation and divorce. Open to all faiths and is modeled after the support group concept.

Annulments

| An Annulment is the Catholic Church's declaration that a marriage in the Church was not "valid." The teaching and theology on this subject is extremely complex. It is important to know what an annulment does and does not do.
An annulment does not:
|
|
|
• declare that two people never loved each other
• declare that two people were never married
• declare that children are illegitimate
|
|
| An annulment does: |
|
|
|
• help you to better understand why you did marry and why that reason may not have been strong enough to sustain a lifelong commitment
• help you experience the grace of God as you heal from the pain of divorce
• help you regain hope and joy for the future
|
|
